Committees

Nominations
This three member committee, selected by and chaired by the immediate past-president, shall provide a roster of proposed candidates for the offices of WEHA.

Membership
This eight member committee shall consist of the four District Vice-Presidents, and one member approved by each Vice-President from each district.  This committee shall promote membership in the Association.

Education
This committee of at least five members, approved by the committee chairperson, shall endeavor to develop and sponsor educational seminars to enhance the capabilities and knowledge of all member environmental health professionals.

Program
This committee of at least five members, as appointed by the committee chairperson, the President-Elect, shall be responsible for the organization of the WEHA Annual Joint Educational Conference.

Legislative
This five member committee, appointed by the President, shall study existing and proposed legislation which affects environmental health professionals, or public health, and will recommend appropriate action by the Association.

By-Laws and Operations
This four member committee, chaired by the Director-at-Large, shall maintain a continuing study of the Constitution and By-Laws and the application of their provisions.

Awards
The Awards Committee shall consist of the five most recent recipients of the Sanitarian of the Year Award.  The committee assists in the nomination of a candidate for the WEHA Environmental Health Professional of the Year Award, Honorary membership and WEHA Scholarships.

Publicity
This five member committee, chaired by the editor of WEHA News, shall include the four District Vice-Presidents.  This committee shall furnish information about newsworthy events for the publication in WEHA News, which shall be published at least quarterly.

Finance
This three member committee, with a chairperson appointed by the President, shall be responsible to devise ways and means of raising funds for the operation of WEHA.
